More on Self-Disclosure

Post  Admin on Sat Sep 20, 2008 11:28 am

Update your profile. Do not put any obvious information in there like email or gender, but complete the location field, job/hobbies field and the humor field. Interpret the humor field however you want. Also update your signature to include your favorite quote or something personalized. If you want to get real creative add an avatar, but that is not required.

When you are done post to this topic stating you are done and see your new signature.

More on Self Disclosure Wk 3

Post  polishwoman on Tue Sep 23, 2008 6:53 pm

More about me. The face you see doesn't tell you much about me. I used to be one of those people who would rather flee than fight when faced with a confrontation. I never was too great about standing up for myself, but I am learning. I am very out spoken about social justice issues, human rights, and one of the people who I most admire besides MLK, Mahatma Ghandi, and Mother Teresa is Eleanor Roosevelt, who was the wife and widow of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who is the person responsible for forming and passing the Human Rights iniative of the United Nations when she was the Ambassador to the UN way back in '60's and '70's as, I believe. (Gee, that was a too long sentence)

I like humor that doesn't need to have foul language to make a witty or funny comment. I used to hate the Roseanne tv sitcom, but lately watching some reruns makes me think of comments I wanted to make when I was raising my children. Bill Cosby is and always was a great comedian, along with Lucille Ball of "I Love Lucy".
There is not enough humor in my life these days. The two persons I live with can get me laughing at times, but lately I am too busy studying or doing homework to see the humor in a situation.
